Army Heritage Center Foundation and Love Carlisle to Honor the Military with a Veterans Day Flag Campaign in Historic Carlisle
(CARLISLE, PA) –For just $5, you can honor a loved one who served or is serving in the military by purchasing a small American flag for display in historic Carlisle over the week of Veterans Day.
As in years past, the nonprofit Army Heritage Center Foundation will partner with Love Carlisle to accept orders through Nov. 6. Flags will bear the name of your loved one, living or deceased, and be planted around the Square in downtown Carlisle in early November. The flag display will remain around the Carlisle Square throughout the Veterans Day holiday.
Julie Germany, president of the Army Heritage Center Foundation, said, “Army service is often remembered as dates on a timeline: months deployed, boxes packed for the next move. We see it as something different--something personal and deeply meaningful. That's why we've partnered with our friends at Love Carlisle on the Veterans Day flag campaign again this year. Please join us. It's a small way of honoring the service of the veterans in your life."
