Event Description:
Dickinson College, the Carlisle Rotary Clubs and the J. Sherwood McGinnis, Jr. War, Peace and Justice Project have proudly partnered on the installation of a Peace Pole, an international monument displaying the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in multiple languages, on campus.
We invite you to join us for the Peace Pole dedication ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 4 p.m., behind East College, 50 N. West St (rain: Stern Center, 208 W. Louther St).
The program will include remarks, a musical performance, and attendees may place a commemorative stone along the pathway as a symbol of our community’s commitment to global understanding and shared hope of a more peaceful future.
