Carlisle Independence Block Party Celebration: Commemorating freedom with family fun, friends, and food (burgers, dogs, and Rita's Ice!). Come join the indoor and outdoor festivities at the Cumberland County Historical Society (CCHS), 21 N. Pitt Street, Carlisle, on Friday, 3 July, 2026.  Indoor activities include a "Tavern Talk" - "The US Constitution, Virtue, and the Pursuit of the Common Good" featuring George Washington, Patrick Henry, and special guest General (Ret) James Dubik.
